Matter Development is proposing a 153-unit luxury senior living community on OneNorth's 26-acre mixed-use redevelopment in Bayside, WI.

In October of 2024, Matter Development and Koru Health acquired Lakewood Memory Care - a senior living community in Brookfield, WI.

Matter Development has acquired the only Senior Living Community in Elkhart Lake, WI. The community will now be called “The Landing and The Bay at Elkhart Lake” and has implemented Koru Health as the operator.

Developer Aaron Matter leads by example. When Matter’s role at a previous employer shifted focus, he started his own company: Wauwatosa-based Matter Development.

Evin at Oconomowoc, a senior living community scheduled to open this fall at 1101 Silver Lake St., is taking an innovative approach during the coronavirus pandemic.

A joint venture between Wauwatosa-based Matter Development and Milwaukee-based Catalyst Partners is proposing to develop the senior community on a vacant site at 11900 N. Port Washington Road, according to a city report.

“We want to restore and repurpose the historic structure, but we haven’t determined the end use,” said Matter, who operates Wauwatosa-based Matter Development.

There is a lot of negative press that paints a picture of senior living overflowing with COVID-19. That is not the case.

Nick Williams of the Milwaukee Business Journal invited Aaron Matter to clear up some of the terminology and statistics used in the reporting of COVID-19 in senior living, and gave us an opportunity to spread the word about the great work of senior living operators.
